2019 Nebraska Children's Book Party

Featured speaker: Award-winning children's book author, Janice Harrington.
She will present "Storytelling!" at 10:30 a.m. and "Writing!" at 11:30 a.m.
Throughout the event there will be hands-on activities for ages K-3 including Book Bingo, book sales and treats.
Janice Harrington

Janice N. Harrington writes poetry and children's books. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and taught elementary school in Omaha.
Memories of Nebraska shape many of her poems and appear in her poetry for children. Her most recent books include Primitive: The Art and Life of Horace H. Pippin and the children's
verse novel Catching a Storyfish. She is also the author of the popular The Chicken-Chasing Queen of Lamar County and Going North. Harrington's poetry appears regularly in American literary magazines.
She curates Space for Image: A Blog about Poetic Imagery and teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Illinois.
